Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and English Literature, Claremont College (1979), MBA, Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University (1996). From 1981 – 1998 worked in various capacities, from Account Executive to COO of related company for Intermatic, Inc., a fourth-generation family business (111 years) specializing in consumer and industrial energy control products. Currently serves on the board of Intermatic. From 1999 – 2002, served as president and COO of an internet start-up company selling overstock electronic materials online. Involved in the National Tropical Botanical Garden whose mission is to preserve rare & endangered plant species as well as develop plant-based medical cures for modern diseases.
