| Millie Melaver |
Millicent (Millie) Melaver currently serves as the Secretary of Melaver, Inc. She also serves as a Board member in the following community organizations: Goodwill Industries, St. Joseph’s-Candler Foundation, and as a member of the Savannah Music Festival Committee. She is the past Vice-President of M&M Supermarkets, and former board member and past President of the Savannah Jewish Federation, former Vice President of the Jewish Educational Loan Fund (a regional organization headquartered in Atlanta), and former Chairman of the Cultural Affairs Commission for The City of Savannah. Millie served as President of the National Women’s Division of United Jewish Communities, Vice President and Chair of The Savannah Symphony Annual Fund, Secretary of Hospice Savannah. She was a Board member of the Armstrong Atlantic State University Foundation, United Way of the Coastal Empire, The Second Harvest Food Bank, The Jewish Education Alliance, and Candler-St. Joseph’s Hospital. Millie was a teacher in the Chatham County School System in Savannah, Georgia until her retirement. She received a Bachelors of Arts in English from University of Pennsylvania. |
