History. We are a 3rd-generation family business that develops, acquires, renovates, manages, owns, and brokers commercial and residential real estate in the southeastern U.S. Our portfolio consists of 8 LEED Certified projects, and approximately 1.5 million square feet of holdings in Savannah, Augusta, Atlanta, Huntsville, and Birmingham. Our offices are located in Savannah, Atlanta, and Birmingham, AL. Vision. We aim to become a vertically-integrated, truly sustainable real estate company. Our definition of sustainability focuses on the triple-bottom line of economic performance, environmental footprint, and social engagement with the community. We view ourselves as an Enveloper® - enveloping our community in a fabric of innovative, sustainable, inspiring practices. Staff. Approximately 80% of our staff is LEED-accredited including our entire management team. Projects. We have approximately 6 LEED projects in the development pipeline, comprising about 1.2 mm SF. Awards. Argon Award For Visionary Leadership in Sustainability to a Georgia based business leader (2006). Citation of Excellence from AIA, Savannah chapter (2005); PACE Award from the Clean Air Campaign for Energy Efficient Property Management (2005); Award for Historic Restoration from the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation (2004); Historic Preservation Award from Historic Savannah Foundation (2003 & 1999); LEED Recognition: Gold-CS McDonald’s at Abercorn Common, the First LEED CS McDonald’s in the world; Silver CS-Abercorn Common, the First LEED Retail Center in the U.S.; Silver CS Abercorn Common Shops Six Hundred;  Offices Silver-CI for Barnard St. Melaver Home Office; CI for Melaver Birmingham Sales Office; Silver NC for the Whitaker building - first LEED project on the National Register of Historic Places in the Southeast.
