Back in the early '70s, we created what was then a state-of-the-art distribution system to service our grocery stores. Outside delivery docks were beautifully maintained, the maintenance facility for trucks immaculate. Inside, the floors sparkled, high-bay skylighting brought in natural light, making the environment simply pleasant to work in. These days, our aim is to manage our industrial facilities just like our office buildings and our retail spaces: as if we were working in them ourselves; because, among other things, we once did.
