Renewable Recruitment
Jobs - Renewable Recruitment
The hardest hire to make is the receptionist. You see, we expect more from the "receptionist" than just answering telephones, getting mail, making bank runs. We expect the "receptionist" to grow on the job – maybe take on Accounts Payable functions, help out with graphics on a marketing piece, or research something online. Before you know it, the "receptionist" is a property manager, a bookkeeper, or marketing person. A year later, we’re looking for another "receptionist." In the past six years, we’ve hired four "receptionists" who’ve moved up in our company. And we expect to create this sort of opportunity in every position. We don’t scour the countryside seeking singularly talented specialists. We do seek talented folk. But we seek people with heart, who put care for community first – people with curiosity, who want to grow. As we evolve, we try to nurture each other so we all evolve. We take extra care to hand pick our hires and have assembled a staff committed to being part of a community serving a community. We are always looking for original, hard-working, talented people. What do we mean by renewable recruitment?  First and foremost, it is about creating a work environment that provides meaning, that enables folks to feel passionate about what they do, that renews the soul.  It means we don't "chum" our hires, but try to hire from within, enabling people to develop and grow as we grow. And yes, renewable recruitment is all about green jobs and finding people who wish to work with an organization that wants to make a difference in the environment in which we work and live in.

Over 80% of our staff is currently LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) accredited.  This furthers the personal commitment of each staff member to learn about state-of-the-art strategies for sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality. As Melaver, Inc continues to work towards becoming a vertically-integrated, sustainable real estate firm, we often discover new and different ways to operate. Our latest discovery led us to switch to using 100% clean, green wind power for our business operations.
