OBJECTIVE
A publicly-traded Fortune 1000 company embarked on a world-class sustainability program and had developed a set of short-term objectives toward this larger goal. What was needed was a broader, longer-term strategy along with a detailed multi-year action plan and metrics to assess progress.

 

DELIVERABLE
Building upon a competitive analysis of the industry, Melaver McIntosh assessed the value-add sustainability would provide to the company and then created an overarching strategy map with objectives the client would meet over the ensuing eight years. A critical pathway of initiatives was developed for each of these objectives, along with a timetable and milestones. A governance structure was then developed to ensure oversight and accountability. Finally, Melaver McIntosh developed an annual work plan geared toward reaching the company’s broader objectives.
