Groundbreaking October 10, 2007 10:00 a.m. HENDERSONVILLE, NC - September 26, 2007 – Ken Gaylord Architects will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the 310 South Main “green lifestyle” condominium project in downtown Hendersonville on the project site on Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.

 “310 South Main raises the bar in Western North Carolina for both green building and fine architecture,” says local architect and developer, Ken Gaylord.  The environmentally friendly project will offer state of the art finishes and features for optimal sustainable living in a Main Street mountain setting.  

310 South Main is a LEED® registered building which projects 30% savings in reduced consumption of energy and water through efficient specifications in building construction, lighting, water fixtures, and heating and air conditioning. There will be an on-site cistern for collection of rainwater which will be used for landscape irrigation and a courtyard fountain. The prestigious LEED designation is certified by the U.S. Green Building Council and is the internationally recognized standard for high performance, low water and energy use buildings. 

Located on Historic Main Street in Hendersonville, 310 South Main will provide memorable views from finely crafted environmentally friendly spaces. The groundbreaking will begin at 10:00 a.m. October 10th on the project site at 310 South Main Street.  The public is invited and refreshments will be served.
