Denis joins Melaver bringing a wealth of financial and business expertise, along with an international flavor. Born in the UK from Irish parents, he grew up in Switzerland, where he graduated from Geneva University majoring in Business Administration and Marketing. He has also lived in London, Singapore and Chicago. What is intriguing and beneficial for Melaver is that Denis has gained his financial experience over the past 20 years working with both large publicly traded companies and one of the world’s most successful family owned groups in very diverse finance, treasury and business development roles.

He met Martin Melaver while attending the same Executive MBA program for two years at the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago (graduating in December, 2004). Denis complements the management team, bringing a dose of financial expertise, willingness to develop growth and efficiency of the organization. As a financial executive he has always strived to fully grasp the business dynamics so the finance function supports the business while instilling the necessary controls. Denis is committed to achieving this while fostering team work and having fun at the same time. Denis became LEED 2.1 Accredited in November, 2005.

He was newly elected to the Board of Directors of Southface Energy Institute in Atlanta, serves on the Finance Committee of the American Red Cross Savannah Chapter, and is a board member of the Small Business Assistance Corp. in Savannah. He is on the Board of Trustees and serves as Treasurer of the Historic Savannah Foundation and is a board member of the CFO Controller's Council in Savannah.

Likes: Like to travel, discover new countries, explore different cultures and eagerly follow current affairs. Enjoy snow skiing, golf, tennis, swimming and hiking. Relish the company of family and friends.

A Green item that I would like to own: A leading and respected Green oriented company.

A place that I would like to visit: Cuzco & Machupicchu in Peru. Have had the privilege of visiting numerous parts of the world. Nepal & Myanmar are also destinations still on my "to see" list..
